Redbubble noindex: is your design hidden from Google?
Many Redbubble designs carry a noindex tag. They are still for sale, but Google is told not to show them. Paste a link below to check yours, then read what you can do about it.
Free Redbubble noindex checker
Paste a Redbubble product link (best) or shop link. Only https://…redbubble.com addresses are accepted.
Check it by hand
- Open your product page on Redbubble on a computer.
- Press Ctrl+U (Mac: ⌘+⌥+U) to view the source.
- Search (Ctrl+F) for
name="robots".noindexmeans hidden from Google,indexmeans indexable.
The checker loads only the Redbubble page you enter. Your link is not saved; to stop abuse we keep an anonymous per-IP counter for one hour.

Every Redbubble product page has a robots tag in its HTML: either index, follow or noindex, follow. With noindex, Google, Bing and other search engines are asked not to show that page in their results.
Your design is still for sale and links to it still work. It just will not bring you visitors from Google. Redbubble sets this tag; you cannot change it in your account.
What we found when we checked (October 2026)
- We checked 12 product pages from one active shop, our own. 4 designs were
indexand 8 werenoindex. - The status belongs to the design, not the product: the same design had the same tag on its t-shirt, sticker and art print pages.
- The older designs in the sample were indexable, while every recent upload was
noindex. - The shop page (
/people/NAME/shop) was indexable even though most of its designs were not. The/explorepage is alwaysnoindex. - Redbubble sent no
X-Robots-Tagheader. The only signal was the meta tag in the HTML.
This is a small sample from one shop: an example, not a rule.
Why it happens
Redbubble does not publish its criteria. Here is what it says officially:
- Its help centre says there is “no guarantee” that all designs are included in search “due to SEO indexing reasons”, and that it does not accept requests to manually review accounts for indexing (Redbubble Help).
- Works marked as Mature Content “will not be indexed off-site” (Community and Content Guidelines).
Many creators report that new shops and new uploads start as noindex and that some switch to index later. Redbubble has not confirmed any rule about sales, account age or traffic, so anyone who gives you an exact threshold is guessing.
How to check your own designs
- Use the free checker above with a product link.
- By hand: open the product page, view the source (Ctrl+U) and search for
name="robots". - Headers: in Chrome DevTools open Network, click the page request and look for
X-Robots-Tagunder Response Headers. Redbubble does not use it today, but it is the second place a noindex can live. - Google: search
site:redbubble.com "exact title of your design". No result can also mean “not crawled yet”, so use it together with the tag check.
What you can actually do
- Use the Mature flag only when it really applies. Mature works are never indexed off-site.
- Write specific titles, tags and descriptions. Redbubble’s own SEO guide recommends descriptive titles of about 50 characters, no product words like “shirt” in the title, and no spam tags (Redbubble blog). This will not remove a noindex, but it counts in Redbubble’s internal search and once a design becomes indexable.
- Bring your own traffic. Pinterest pins, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit or a newsletter can link straight to a noindex product. Noindex only affects search engines, not links.
- Put your designs on a page Google can index, on your own site or in a curated catalog, and link to the Redbubble product. People find that page in Google and buy on Redbubble.
- Skip what does not work: asking Redbubble support for a review (they say they do not do it) and submitting Redbubble links in Google Search Console (you can only add sites you own).
How PUZZELL drop can help
PUZZELL drop is an indexable catalog in 6 languages (EN, PL, DE, ES, IT, FR). Every design gets its own page with a written description, hreflang and a sitemap entry, and every buy button goes straight to the product on Redbubble. That is how my own designs are listed here.
I am opening the catalog to a small first group of independent Redbubble creators. Your sales still happen on Redbubble, in your shop, with your margin. To join, come to THE UNDERGROUND on Discord and post your shop link.
